IWMF EPC2 SIF Project Successfully Completes Hydrotest for First Batch of Boiler Components

Guangzhou/Ennetbürgen, Mar. 2024, On March 7th, 2024, the Hydrotest for the first batch of boiler Components was successfully completed under the supervision of representatives from the IWMF Project Superintending Officer (S.O.) and Main Contractor UES Holdings Pte Ltd– China Harbour (Singapore) Engineering Company Pte Ltd Joint Venture (UECH).

The Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) is Singapore's first integrated solid waste treatment facility, providing an innovative and sustainable solution to meet Singapore's long term solid waste management needs. Raschka Engineering has been contracted for engineering, supplying, delivering, and providing technical support for the installation, testing, and commissioning of an 800 tonnes per day Sludge Incineration Facility.

As the core equipment supplier of the SIF, Raschka Engineering has engaged a globally renowned third-party inspection company as the Notified Body to conduct a comprehensive review of the boiler’s design and manufacturing processes, ensuring fully compliance with EN-PED standards and meeting the certification requirements of Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Raschka project team, in collaboration with the boiler supplier, has set high standards for every aspect, including document records, material inspections, welding manufacturing, and non-destructive testing. This commitment to excellence is evident in the manufacturing process inspection and hydrostatic test of the first batch of boiler components, which has received recognition from the Project S.O. team and Main Contractor UECH.

The successful acceptance of this hydrostatic test marks a significant milestone in the project’s progress, laying a solid foundation for the overall acceptance of the boiler.
